Waveland, Oct 12 -- Thomas L. Mason, aged 84 years died at 12:49 o'clock this morning at the home of his son, Walter Mason north of Waveland after an illness of only three days. Infirmities of old age caused death. Mr. Mason was born Sept 29, 1849 in Montgomery County, the son of William and Nancy Mason. He was married June 23, 1878 to Anna Eliza McCormick, who preceded him in death. He was a member of the Christian Church at Crawfordsville and Mace K of P Lodge. Surviving are seven children: Walter Mason of Waveland; Mrs. William Wilkinson; Mrs. Estella Fyffe; Mrs. AC Jackson and Everett Mason, all of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Levi Thomas of New Richmond; and Mrs. Vern Reed of Danville, Ill. Besides the wife, a daughter, Clara Ellen Mason and two infants died before him. The body will be taken to the Hunt & Ratcliff Funeral Home in Crawfordsville at noon Saturday where services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
